Drove down in the rain, it had stopped when I arrived at 12pm, low tide was at 1124 so tide was on the way in. Rigged a 6.2m and hit the water, had a good few hours doing gybe attempts in the flat water which was only waist deep for the first hour. Managed some dry gybes but ended up holding the mast in them all. Towards the end it got more gusty and the only way to get planing was to head more offshore towards the wind line off Bartons Point so I called it a day.
Well worth the effort of driving there.
